The Grande Parade

 

The Annual Grande Parade, held on Sunday of the Festival, is undoubtedly one of the weekend’s highlights. Starting at North Ridgeville High School at 34600 Bainbridge Road, the parade route winds through Ranger Way, Center Ridge, Root Rd, and Bainbridge before returning to the starting point. With a spectacular lineup of vehicles, including floats, antique cars and trucks, scooters, fire trucks, and as many as 750 enthusiastic marchers, the parade is a joyous celebration for all. The American Judges Association provides an esteemed panel of judges to evaluate the parade, and they award trophies in 15 different categories. These coveted awards include Best Marching Band, Best Float, and Best Antique Vehicle. Whether you’re a participant or spectator, the parade will leave you with unforgettable memories.

Arrive at the North Ridgeville High School Campus no later than 12:00 noon
Use the main Entrance from Bainbridge – there will be signs at Root and Bainbridge roads and the main entrance to the Campus; Next, turn right into the staging & check-in area, and check-in, there will be a sign at the entry to the Northeast lot.

Parade Route: Campus Northeast Parking Lot, Ranger Way, Center Ridge, Root Rd, Bainbridge ending,Campus Northeast Parking Lot. 
Registration: 2024 Grande Parade registration is per UNIT and is free for non-political units. Each elected office holder is not running for re-election, and each POLITICAL PARTY AS A GROUP can register a maximum of 1 Unit which is also free.

Giving Things Away
Candy and Handouts are permitted. They MUST be HANDED to spectators. They CAN NOT be THROWN OR TOSSED.

Political Units
A Political Unit is anyone running for election or re-election (except for NR Mayor). When you register below, please SEND your Unit Registration CHECK for $25 made Payable to North Ridgeville Corn Festival by US MAIL to P.O. Box 39103, North Ridgeville, Ohio 44039, and note your Organization Name used at Registration.

If you are a current office holder and not running for re-election, you are welcome to register 1 unit, and there is no fee. If your unit represents a political party, you can register 1 Unit for that party, only 1 Unit per party is allowed, and there is no fee.

HAVE A UNIQUE UNIT TO REGISTER?
If you have a unique or special Unit for Registration, you MUST contact Mario Cipriano a MINIMUM of 2 WEEKS Before the Parade. We will make exceptions on a case-by-case basis, including bicycles, miniature motorcycles, miniature cars, scooters, and other novelty units. Exceptions are at the discretion of the Parade Chairman.

IMPORTANT We cannot accommodate units with more than four(4) vehicles. These include full-size cars, motorcycles, motorhomes, and other units deemed a safety hazard by the Parade Chairman. In the past, we have been able to make accommodation; however, with our new parade route, we cannot do so this year.
